About Ruth Barry

I am a solicitor qualified in Ireland and in England & Wales. With specialized skills in litigation and human rights law, my main motivation is access to justice for all. Children's rights and equality and social welfare law are my main areas of practice these days. I provide free legal advice in these areas through regular legal advice clinics and take on legal cases where possible. I partner with other organisations like EPIC (Empowering People in Care), Family Carers Ireland, Irish Cancer Society etc to reach those who may not otherwise have access to legal assistance. The law has the power to bring positive change in people's lives and I try to give them the information and tools to do that. My work gives me great satisfaction and in the main I have the clients I have worked with over the years to thank for that.
