I am conscientious, motivated, hardworking and organised. I take ownership of my work; when managing a high caseload, I prioritise my work in order to ensure deadlines are achieved. When doing so I work effectively as an individual and as a team member and have experience of mentoring others. I have experience of working in very disciplined organisations where I have adapted to change, used a variety of Microsoft Office Applications, developed new processes, represented the organisation at stakeholder meetings, adhered to policies, procedures and legislation that govern my practice. I have also given priority to continuously learning and developing new knowledge and skills which I have shared with others in addition to learning from colleagues and other professionals. Over the past few years, I have participated in a number of activities which have helped me to become a balanced, organised and disciplined individual, whilst supporting others and gaining qualifications that will enable me to achieve my future goals and ambitions. Whilst in the Royal Air Cadets, I worked hard and completed various courses and examinations which enabled me to progress to the rank of Sergeant. I successfully completed a Flying Scholarship, and I am in the final stages of completing the Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award. As part of the Gold Duke of Edinburgh award, I have worked voluntary at Age UK, as a retail assistant. In addition to this, I have participated in fundraising events including a tandem skydive and have helped to raise money for a number of worthy causes including SSAFA, Help the Heroes, Pilgrim Bandits and Cancer Research. I have represented the squadron at team events and individual athletics and encouraged others to do the same. Managing all my commitments alongside academic study has required me to have excellent time management and organisational skills, motivation and focus which I believe are skills necessary to progress into both employment and a higher level of academic study. I have studied BTEC Level 3 Information Technology and hold a degree in Business and Management. I believe that the skills and knowledge gained through academic study, paid work and voluntary work will be relevant to working in various types of business situations.
