During my time at Footasylum I worked within two feature teams, EPOS (Electronic Point of Sale) and PIM (Product Information Management), each presenting their unique challenges and needs.My daily duties would vary between the two teams:• Building applications to the specification and requirements.• Refactoring and maintaining legacy and new code.• Self-testing and debugging.• Resolving defects/bugs within the application.• Deploying fixes and builds to different branches/environments and through pipeline and EPMSoftware.• Create and maintain documentation and guides for the business.• Monitor alert channels for any issues or defects that require further investigation.Assisting QA with regression and feature testing and writing test cases and plans within Test Project.• Assisting other teams with enquiries and support needs.• Arranging and attending meetings with stakeholders and other business members to analyse and write out project requirements.• Create and write out product backlog item tickets and tasks, creating user stories, Acceptance critical and adding estimated time/ effort.• Organise and run demonstrations at huddles and meetings and host training sessions for stakeholders, other teams within the tech department and the rest of the business.

To help improve my knowledge and understanding of the IT department’s needs before starting my Software Developer Apprenticeship.I work on the IT Retail Service Desk as first-line support, responding to and fixing any IT issues the store raises, ensuring they are prioritised and resolved promptly. Liaising with other teams/departments and stores to help deliver projects and retail solutions and raise and maintain Jira tickets. First point of contact for all stores for any type of it issues, responsible for ensuring all stores issues are addressed and prioritised in a timely manner. Liaising with the service desk, infrastructure and the the retail service team to help deliver projects and retail solutions.

My office duties include managing packaging forms, updating Range/Development documents, maintaining Power Point Presentations and price packs for agents and buyers.Setting up and updating style codes, photography imagery onto our internal design systems, Organising Initial prices from factories.Following the cycle of General Product development through cooperation with the studio design team, manufactures/ suppliers and technical team.Assisting the technical team with red/ gold seal inspections and coducting in-house testing when required.A large portion of my responsibly is to ensure the development of new products run smoothly, through systemic planning and scheduling. (Critical paths, deadlines, planning and delegate tasks individually and as a group.)

The project focused on creating a product to help the quality of care for child cancer patients, my role as assistant researcher was to expand our contacts who manufacture anti-bacteria fabrics, research in-depth into the British Standards and British regulation laws to make sure our produce was in line with any health and safety requirements. To relay my finding and information onto the rest of the team and to make sure the information was presented clearly and simple to understand (through spreadsheets and reports). Manage tight deadline dates and organise workload to achieve targets. Sourcing fabrics and helping with constructing prototypes along with designing digital 3D models to show to external companies and charities.

Responsible for appeal and tills making sure standards are a high quality and is presentable. Replenishing stock on shop floor also keeping appeal stockroom organises and tidy. Welcoming customers and assisting with any enquires such as sizing, colour and style options. Having a range of brand and trend knowledge to assist customers. Working on changing rooms whilst taking security measures to prevent thief. Before opening and closing making sure surfaces and floors are clean and the store looks tidy and well kept. Understanding till processors and how to do discounts/ exchanges, being friendly and professional with customers explaining refund policies as well as helping with website orders.

Creating new trends for future seasons bespoke to set retail accounts such as Asda, Aldi and national retail accounts. I work on home interiors and the Mark and Spencer’s coats departments bringing new commercial ideas to the team and developing them into collections. Liaising with colleagues I analyse colour indicators and trends to cost structure for customer presentations when my designs are presented. I regularly compose competitive shop reports on various home textile products visiting high street stores and Internet sites. I attend new training exchanges, which help me massively in my development
