Ruth Davis is Coordinator of the Master's Program for the Australian National Centre for Ocean Resources and Security (ANCORS) at the University of Wollongong's Innovation Campus. Ruth has over 25 years’ experience in legal research, education and administration in the university sector and in conducting research projects for government, regional and international organisations. She has significant experience in legal analysis across a broad range of issues, at national, regional and international levels, in relation to the conservation and management of ocean space, the marine environment and marine resources. Ruth's current projects span both the coastal fisheries and oceanic fisheries spaces, and reflect a strong interest in creating supportive enabling environments in which scientific advice and policy decisions can be implemented to effect real change. Ruth is an academic observer on a number of regional bodies and Regional Fisheries Management Organisations. She is a Research Fellow on the ARC special research initiative, Securing Antarctica's Environmental Future and participates in the Australian Antarctic Division’s CCAMLR Consultative Forum.
