Supervising Worker
Current• Directly responsible for the supervision of mainstream foster carers and connected persons. • Ensuring the following are adhered to in respect of the provision of Fostering Services and Connected Persons.; 1. national Childcare Legislation2. fostering standards (2002 and 2011) regulations and schedules3. Formal notifications to Ofsted • Work in partnership with the following services to guarantee that the placement needs and outcomes of children placed within Fostering and connected persons are met.1. Adoption 2. Safeguarding3. Case Management4. Placements5. Children in Care team 6. CAMHS7. Lac Nurse8. Education Services9. Youth Offending 10. NHS, Housing11. Benefits agency • Supervise a mix of 1 Foster carer and 1 Connected Person.• Working in partnership with Case managers and Team Leaders and key professionals to certify the Positive outcomes for children, young people, carers and families. • Implement, monitor and review foster carer’s agreements, placement agreements and support plans. • Effectively assessing and managing risks identified in safe care plans for each child or young person in place this is reviewed according to the needs of each child or young person.• Promote standards which achieve equality of opportunity through training opportunities provided by Shropshire Council. • Personal adherence to all relevant Policies & Procedures and guides to foster carers is another areas. • Work in partnership to develop each carer’s skills. • Recording up-to-date information using the appropriate IT and Information systems in accordance with the Council’s policy and Procedures.
