- Analyze the structure and assess the portfolio management teams of funds requesting ratings from Standard & Poor's. Assign ratings to money market funds, traditional bond funds, hedge funds, preferred share funds, government investment pools and separate accounts. Collaborate with portfolio managers, credit analysts and chief-level executives during the rating process.- Manage relationships as the lead analyst for over 35 fund complexes including Bank of America, Oppenheimer and Morgan Stanley.- Communicate rating recommendations of management and portfolio analysis in detailed presentations to the global fund rating committee.- Create and implement fund rating criteria. Present new criteria policies to the global rating committee for its approval.- Present our rating methodology at conferences and meet with all clients on an annual basis throughout the United States and Canada.- Assess the ability of public and private institutions to support their debt through self liquidity. Meet with money managers, understand overall asset capability and coordinate the rating committee's decision with S&P's Public Finance Department.- Work with the New Instruments Committee to publish articles and criteria on hybrid capital. Evaluate new hybrid securities of financial institutions to determine their contribution towards a bank's capital reserve requirements.

- Assist lead analysts and serve as backup rating analyst for over 120 money market and bond funds.- Monitor over 40 complex bond funds and liquidity assessments on a monthly basis.- Research various projects including downgraded securities, criteria exception requests from clients and market data.

- Monitor over 125 funds on a weekly basis to ensure that the portfolio managers are in compliance with Standard & Poor's criteria.- Worked closely with senior analysts in the development of a new rating system for the Canadian bond fund market; market rating product and create criteria.- Investigated, created and presented a report on the Canadian Financial Markets that helped the Fund Rating Group to gain a better understanding of the Canadian Fund industry.- Served as the point person for the web-based S&P fund profile reports which involved the coordination between clients at various fund companies, S&P analysts and the data provider, resulting in the posting of over 200 fund reports on a monthly basis.- Winner: S&P Gold Level ACE Award: Recognized for excellence in teamwork (awarded to 20 employees out of 1,500 nominees)

- Responded to letters received by the Foundation related to medical research, general support for Michael J.
