I was an Assistant Examiner at AQA / NEAB and assessed Design and Technology - Textiles Technology examination papers.

I was appointed as Programme Moderator for London Open College Network and was assigned five centres to moderate in the areas of Art and Design - Fashion, Textiles, Art, Craft and Design. I worked in partnership with programme providers to ensure that the curriculum, strategies and criteria agreed and / or recommended by accreditation/validation paneles were implemented.

From 1990 to 1994, I strengthened market awareness of Year 2 BA(Hons) Constructed Textile students by devising and delivering market analysis assignments. I also contributed to Textiles at Central St Martins by designing and delivering a constructed textiles programme which included tapestry, sewing / embroidery, tie dye, dip dye, batik, hand/machine knitting and table loom weaving.

I presented woven textile design to Year 1 BA(Hons) Constructed Textiles students by creating challenging weave specifications. I also instigated textile ideas from visual sources of Year 2 and 3 knit and woven textile design students. I was fully involved in final year assessment procedures and new intake panels.

At Crewe and Alsager faculty, I introduced Year 1 BA(Hons) Craft students to dyeing processes, embroidery techniques and woven textile design.

I worked as a Woven Textile Designer at Parkland Manufacturing Co. PLC. I built upon aesthetic design needs of textile buyers and responded cost effectively. I investigated and produced a viability report wich supported expansion into corporate clothing, then developed and presented design ideas for this growing market sector through the CAD Vision package.
