I am an experienced academic leader who served a variety of institutions in several different roles. In each of these roles, I have focused on academics, the core purpose of our service in higher education. My academic work experience includes student learning, faculty development, curriculum development, assessment, and institutional accreditation. My accreditation credentials were earned through my work with the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. As Team Chair of eleven accreditation visits, I fulfilled leadership responsibilities that assessed the extent to which each institution fulfilled its academic mission and complied with established standards. I have also consulted for two large private institutions with enrollments ranging from 40-70,000 students on behalf of the Commission of Middle States in Latin America for their international accreditation. I have worked with the Executives and the Board of Trustees on their own effectiveness, institutional assessment, and strategic planning in these processes.• Over two decades of experience as a higher education administrator and nineteen in senior-level policy-making positions: academic affairs, educational administrator, and student services leadership in institutions with enrollments ranging from 2,000 to 30,000 students.• Extensive experience in institutional accreditation, planning, curriculum design, faculty development, assessment, strategic planning, supervision, budget management, and collective bargaining, which has contributed to a reputation as an advocate for academic excellence, access, and shared governance in unionized and non-unionized institutions.
