Primarily office based and working within the sales department, I worked as the principle point of contact for a nominated group of accounts, providing a key interface between the customer and the company. I helped the sales team reach their sales targets and successfully increased margins. A key member in account teams, working closely with sales managers, applications and service engineers, to assist customers with day to day and more complex needs. I was very good at liaising with the necessary departments to ensure machines were manufactured to the best suited technical specification. I produced customer forecasts and allocation figures which were integrated into the manufacturing plan. I was great at prioritising my key accounts to ensure on time delivery. I produced and issued quotations to customers, taking into account all technical and commercial factors, ensuring contractual terms were observed with specific customers. I was good at managing long-term projects, ensuring a sale and a satisfied customer.

A commercial role requiring some technical input. Responsible for handling, actioning and progressing customer orders and enquiries. Ensuring prompt and responsive service in respect of completion, dispatch and shipment timescales. Liaising with the planning team and plant scheduler for available manufacturing capacity to meet with customer needs. Maintained customer profiles for use by all internal departments. Communication of stock position and lead times to the customer base and controlling stock levels by matching to outstanding orders.

Key responsibilities;-maintain key customer accounts in partnership with field salesmen. Talking to customers on fortnightly/monthly basis, building good relationship and rapport.-monitoring stock levels, assisting in forecasting stock and providing customers with quotes.-selling new products to customers and providing product knowledge and advice.-scheduling appointments for salesmen to demonstrate products having assessed the customers needs and requirements. I repeatedly reached and exceeded the telesales targets and helped the field salesmen reach their targets by using my extensive database to aid their visits.
