I am project managing Steps to Success - a research pilot to support persistently absent 14-16 year olds on free school meals with their next steps, post-16. My team is working in partnership with the Youth Employability Service, East Sussex schools, the Careers and Enterprise Company, and the Department for Education. Over 9 out of 10 of our first wave participants have now gone on to a sustained post-16 destination in education, employment or training. Thanks to their success, we are 1 of 5 regions that the Careers and Enterprise has shortlisted from the original 10 Effective Transitions Fund projects to run our programme at scale in 2024-2026. I am also project managing Steps to Success Hastings in 2024-2025, funded by the Department for Education using the Steps to Success model of holistic coaching and workplace experience to influence learners' commitment to school, and help them to set inspiring goals for year 12 and beyond. Both programmes are underpinned by a mixed methods evaluation of pre- and post-surveys, and longitudinal case studies which provide compelling narratives of the projects' impacts.

Writing case studies to show how businesses are getting students confident and ready for their first workplace experience. Writing careers literature to educate students about growth industries and encouraging them to set their sights high.
