An educator leader, always motivated to find avenues and opportunities to help adults helping student’s intellectual growth in order to empower communities. I enjoyed teaching my home language for ten years and a great adventure to teach middle school math for an additional four years. For a couple of years, I was involved with the International Thespian Society as a director/producer for an after school group and I produced contemporary and classical plays twice a year (some of my best memories were cemented here); some of those plays included: Suddenly Last Summer, Shakespeare's Twelve's Night, Isn't Romantic, El delantal blanco, and The Odd Couple-Female Version. I have multiple areas of interest including, staying up-to-date with educational reform, Psychology and reading Medieval Spanish works of literature. During my undergraduate work in Psychology, I presented at a Western Psychological Association Conference, while conducting researcher for a statistics experimental course. In my 4 years with MVSD as Coordinator of Early Childhood Education I gained important experience in Pupil Personnel Services, Federal and State program regulation interpretation and implementation of related student achievement standards. Presently, I have gained valuable skills in educational leadership as an assistant principal in both elementary and middle school.
