About Ruth Hartogs-Koster

Since the beginning of my career I have worked in various settings, all in the field of hearing rehabilitation in young children. As a speech and language therapist I have worked in schools for the Deaf and schools for hard of hearing children, in the pre-CI-era. As a clinical linguist I have participated in two cochlear implant teams. For the past 15 years I have worked as an early interventionist at NSDSK, the Dutch Foundation for Deaf and hard of hearing children. This requires the combined skills of stimulating the hearing-, language-, and speech development in deaf and hard hearing babies on one side and coaching and empowering parents on the other. It is the most beautiful and bonding job in the world.Since March 2024 I am a Certified Auditory-Verbal Therapist (LSLS Cert. AVT)
