They assist job seekers through skills development, providing personal support and moving them into sustainable employment. They work with employers to provide them with skilled applicants, tailored services and localised assistance.My role was newly created within a new team, in a rapidly growing business, requiring the development of all new HR strategies and initiatives. The key focuses included embedding a new culture, managing change and the development of a HR business plan that aligned with the strategic business objectives. Strong business relationships were built with senior and executive management resulting in a value-added service that reflected the organisation’s vision and strategy.

My role saw me acting in a business partner capacity with half of Council’s varied business units covering both blue and white collar workers, ranging from Corporate Services (Marketing and Communications; IT; Business Excellence), to Community and Environmental Services (Aquatic Centre; Roads, Traffic and Waste; Children’s Services; Glen Street Theatre; Events Management; Natural Environment), to Planning and Development Services (Civil Projects; Development and Compliance).

Rexel Holdings Australia is the parent company of 9 electrical wholesaling companies, making it the largest electrical wholesaler in Australia and worldwide. There are over 1600 employees nationally with more than 220 branches. In this role I worked alongside half of the organisations 9 companies, acting as their main point of contact for all HR related issues and requests, as well as working on company-wide projects. I was the direct supervisor of the corporate reception team and was also WHS Coordinator for the organisation.

The Cerebral Palsy Alliance is a non-government organisation that provides family-centred therapies, life skills programs, equipment and support for people living with cerebral palsy and their families. They operate from over 55 sites across NSW and ACT and employ approximately 800 employees.In this role I was responsible for general HR Administration as well as assisting management with their recruitment needs. I also managed a number of internal programs such as the reward and recognition and preferred candidate programs.
