As an Immigration Consultant, I provide immigration advice to clients and support with employment permit applications, family reunification applications, immigration registration and renewal applications and any immigration-related issues which may arise. As a client contact point for several of our clients, I guide the team on their day-to-day work with these clients through protocol trainings and continued support.I am also engaged in Fragomen’s Knowledge Hub and Fragomen’s Compliance Team, which has to date included writing a blog post on labour shortages in Ireland and preparing a comprehensive manual on immigration compliance, which summarises and analyses the relevant immigration laws and policies.

This project aims to establish how different measurements of irregular migration can address particular stakeholder needs, and map different indicators and estimates concerning the irregular migrant population and other migrants with an unstable legal status. Through a review of existing estimation methods for irregular migration, we will develop innovative approaches for measuring specific dimensions of migrant irregularity and measuring how policies are implemented. As a Research Officer, I will engage in a systematic policy analysis of current policies on irregular migration in Ireland, exploring in particular views of different stakeholders and reasons for the (non-)implementation of these policies in the past decade.

The Immigrant Council of Ireland is a civil society organisation which strives to empower migrants and their families in Ireland through information provision, advocacy work and integration initiatives. I currently work on the Immigrant Council’s information helpline. Beyond my work on our information helpline, I support individuals with their applications, such as applications for family reunification, citizenship, the Afghan Admission Programme and the Regularisation Scheme for long-term undocumented migrants. I am also actively involved in the Immigrant Council’s advocacy work.

As Press Spokesperson for Europe Must Act, I wrote press releases in response to migration issues and liaised with media outlets across the EU and activists to garner media attention for our campaign.In 2021, a small team of us founded Ireland Must Act (IMA). As a founding member of IMA, I developed strategic relationships with similar local grassroots movements and liaised with politicians and other stakeholders to drive policy dialogue.To develop our movement, I also collaborated with media outlets and managed our social media platforms. I also carried out extensive research on Ireland’s humanitarian programmes such as the Irish Refugee Protection Programme (IRPP) and Irish Humanitarian Admission Programme (IHAP).

With the ICCT, I worked on the ICCT Press Team, which involved reviewing submissions to the ICCT’s peer-reviewed, open-access journal, collaborating with authors of reports and policy briefs, and formatting contributions prior to publication.In addition to my involvement with ICCT Journal, I worked directly with Prof. Alex Schmid in the publication of the Handbook of Terrorism Prevention and Preparedness, which comprised 35 chapters written by esteemed counter-terrorism scholars.Given my legal background, I also worked on the Rule of Law Team and I wrote a comprehensive literature review on the nexus between terrorism, human trafficking and migrant smuggling and gender-based violence, and the prosecutorial challenges pertaining to same.

With Project Elea, I served as Little School Coordinator, which involved leading a team of 10 volunteers to prepare and conduct lessons for ‘Little School’ and implementing several educational programs. I also taught beginner-level English to adults in the evenings. As an English teacher, I collaborated with other members of the Education Team to prepare lesson plans. Given my legal background, I also supported asylum seekers with their asylum applications and coordinated with Legal Aid NGOs in Athens when required. Lastly, I actively engaged in the variety of activities Project Elea provided to the residents, such as Women's Hour, theatre and homework club.

As a Legal Assistant, I was the first point of contact in the immigration law firm and liaised with people over the phone, in person and by email on a daily basis. I also was responsible for the running of the office, which involved ensuring that the office was well stocked and that deadlines for applications were met. I was also responsible for drafting letters to the Department of Justice.

As an Intern, I contributed to the preparation of case files on behalf of the solicitors in the office through the drafting of country of origin reports. I also liaised with clients in the office and provided ongoing support as required.

As a volunteer in NCP's Cork Office, I provided assistance to immigrants with their applications for Irish citizenship and provided general immigration support, as required.

Served as Organiser of the Munster Regional Session in October 2013, Organiser of the International Forum, Cork, in 2014 and Core Organiser of the Munster Regional Session in October 2016.

Provided support to children with severe mental and physical disabilities through swimming lessons and classroom activities.
