I earned my Master in Fine Arts at California State University, Long Beach, where I learned skills in painting and drawing technique, organizing an art exhibition, creating a body of work, critical thinking, and teaching. I also achieved a Bachelor's degree in illustration from Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). My work can be found on my website www.ruthiemarchand.com. My current role is Administrative Assistant at the University of Arizona School of Natural Resources and Environment Business Office. I also teach 6-week asynchronous digital art courses for RISD's Continuing Education program. I am creative with a strong work ethic and a penchant for learning new skills. I also enjoy working with others or in a team with a shared philosophy.
