I was a graduate student intern working with clients with speech and language impairments.

I worked as a graduate student intern at Ruby Drive Elementary working with groups of students with their speech and language goals. I assisted in several assessments and evaluations with my supervisor. I obtained 75 clinical hours at the school site, being on campus over 135 hrs during the semester.

Supervised and provided written direction for up to 4 claims adjusters and one examiner, handling 350-500 files per month, with an average closing ratio of 100%. Provided customer support and when monitored for Quality Service assurance, received an average score of 91%, exceeding the company goal of 90%. Directed litigated files in order to obtain dismissals for our insured customers. Kronos editor and approver, monitoring overtime for the branch employees, saving the company in overtime costs.

Managed and directed up to four (4) claims examiners in resolving property damage and bodily injury claims being alleged from a minimal impact auto accident. Conducted companywide training for all bodily injury adjusters, informing them of the minimal impact criteria and values, saving the company thousands of dollars in claims costs. Received a 98% when files were audited for accuracy and timeliness. Directed examiners on handling all litigated aspects of the files, and pushing the claims toward resolution and dismissals. Most claims resolving within $1500, including those litigated.
