My name is Ruth Jocelyn and I am an online student at Nova Southeastern University. I am a junior pursuing a Bachelors in Psychology. Being an online student, I have been able to dedicate as much of my time as possible to my calling, teaching. I love being able to help students achieve the greatness they already have inside them. Furthermore, I love seeing students reach heights they didn’t think were possible at first. My goal is to go to get a Masters that will allow to become a Certified 5th grade teacher. I am currently in the process of applying to Columbia’s Elementary Inclusive Education program. As a teacher, I aim to use my psychology background to conduct independent research or work with other psychologists on research that will help me understand how to better guide young scholars to achieve success despite their perceived shortcomings. I hope to share what I find out with other teachers so that we can all have the information we need to accommodate students’ varying needs.
