I am a senior manager with extensive experience in community complaint handling, issues management and strategic engagement with community, customer, industry and internal stakeholders. I have pursued my passion for fairness, equity and transparency down many avenues throughout my career, from researching and developing best practice in workplace anti-discrimination complaint handling, to workplace improvement reviews examining systems, processes and culture in diverse industries, to engagement and complaint handling with communities and industry on issues that impact lives and businesses. I am a natural people leader with a proven track record in building and retaining high performing customer/community-focused teams in challenging environments. I have depth of experience in analysing, managing and negotiating complex and politically sensitive issues. Along with my sense of humour, I bring my interpersonal, analytical, problem solving and sound decision-making abilities to all my roles.My strong commitment to engaging with integrity is underpinned by membership of IAP2 (International Association for Public Participation). I hold IAP2’s Certificate in Engagement and an honours degree in Political Science, and am excited to be embarking on mediation training to expand my skills in alternative dispute resolution.In my down time I pursue my fascination with the wonders of space, am a keen student of the Feldenkrais movement method, and can't imagine giving up the satisfying tactile experience of reading newspapers in hard copy.
