My career journey commenced as a structural engineer, where I honed my problem-solving, analytical, and detail-oriented skills. In 2007, I made a deliberate shift towards energy and sustainability, gaining valuable experience across commercial and academic domains. This transition paved the way for a pivotal role in spearheading the establishment of the Research and Development division at Integrated Environmental Solutions (IES) Ltd.At IES, I undertook the monumental task of building this division from scratch. Through strategic vision and relentless dedication, I transformed it into a cornerstone of IES's operations. IES specialise in software solutions for sustainable building design and energy analysis, placing me at the forefront of energy and sustainability initiatives. My role involved bridging research and innovation into practical applications, particularly in the areas of decarbonization of the built environment, energy management of existing buildings, and optimizing buildings' integration with local resource networks.During my tenure as Director of R&D at IES, I actively engaged in a multitude of commercial projects across various industry sectors including Commercial Real Estate, manufacturing, universities, public authorities, and healthcare. This included the composition of commercial tenders aimed at securing net zero consultancy contracts, further expanding IES’s portfolio and impact in sustainable solutions.With a proven track record of leadership, strategic goal setting, and driving growth, in 2021, I advanced to the position of COO at IES. In this capacity, I assumed responsibility for orchestrating a comprehensive strategic growth plan encompassing all facets of the business. Collaborating closely with the CEO, I played a pivotal role in translating his strategic vision into actionable initiatives, facilitating team restructuring, and nurturing leadership talent within the organization.Additionally, my appointment to the Executive Board mandated monthly reporting to fellow board directors, wherein I communicated progress on the strategic growth plan. Furthermore, I effectively relayed updates and insights to the Senior Management Team, ensuring alignment and coherence with overarching objectives.My journey underscores not only my adaptability and versatility but also my ability to drive tangible results and foster organizational growth along with my dedication to making a broader impact in the field of sustainability and decarbonization of the built environment.
