Currently, I work as an international Team Lead at doTERRA International LLC. It's a great opportunity to work with different cultures and take time to look at how different cultures handle situations and learn from them. I have been in my current position for almost four years and enjoy the chances to learn and grow from my experiences and interactions. In my role, I work with the agents to ensure they are meeting performance standards. When things need work, I take time with each agent to understand their situation and help them create achievable goals for improvement. I have lived a total of 2 years in Korea. For 18 months I was there as a missionary. During that time in Korea I had many opportunities to help people resolve their concerns. Additionally, I had to work closely with people I had never met before. This helped me to better learn to work with others in situations of stress in a calm manner. I had the opportunity to work on a farm before moving for college. My day to day activities would range from office work to hands on work with the horses. Each day brought new challenges on the farm and I enjoyed solving them. One moment I would be working on a research project, then an emergency would come up and I would have to take a horse to have them evaluated. After the evaluation was completed I had to make sure the care instructions were clear, so the other people I worked with could understand what the horse needed. I was usually in the office creating records and helping the bookkeeper with paperwork and anything else they needed help with. One of the things that I find the most pleasure in is helping others resolve questions or concerns they have.
