Working within the central PMO team my role includes:• Recording minutes, actions and decisions at project level governance meetings.• Maintaining records management standards, providing support to stakeholders; reporting on records management compliance and creating action plans to improve position.• Updating RAID logs using PlanView, providing reporting output and insight. While within the PMO I created a new RAID heatmap to report on risks, significant movement and changes.• Creating governance meetings packs, collating content from stakeholders ensuring templates are used and standards met.• Negotiating with senior stakeholders, both internally and externally to ensure reporting submission deadlines are met.• Milestone reporting, reviewing of milestone requirements and progress to ensure deadlines are met and deliverables reached.• While within the team I provided a capability session on PowerPoint to the PMO team and embedded PMOs.

Working with National Records of Scotland (NRS) on the Census Coverage Survey (CCS) project. The CCS is a separate survey that runs after the Census to help ensure that the Census produces high quality census outputs.The project covered the whole of Scotland and the project team consisted of 4 people. This meant that work was fast paced, fluid and vital to the successful output of Census Coverage Survey. My role involved:• Establishing processes and creating guides for regular tasks including payroll audits, tracking of incidents and mailbox management.• Implementing process and guides for ad-hoc queries such as kit returns, monitoring of extension contract responses and tracking external queries to identify trends. • Reviewing payroll spend reports for over >500 members of field based staff, obtaining senior stakeholder approval and liaising the supplier.• Communicating with field force, both providing regular in project updates and also arranging for Town Hall and training sessions. Facilitating regular meetings with Area and Team Managers, taking meeting minutes and action logs.• Receiving and responding to queries from members of the public, complaint handling and reporting. • Management of project mailbox, providing a centralised area for support and queries.• Carrying out post project evaluation activities, including surveys and insight reports.• Working with Census colleagues and stakeholders across National Records of Scotland to provide a consistent, auditable approach.

Working with Community Justice Scotland (CJS) to effectively manage the Recover Renew Transform project (RRT). RRT was a project working with partners from across the justice system to look at how we can transform the justice sector and its systems. This was a complex and multi-faceted project, frequently changing due to covid 19 restrictions, that needed to be flexible, fast paced and with a continuous eye on achieving progress.My role was to support the RRT project lead by co-ordinating and managing project activities and communications, working with large and complex data sets, providing research and analytical expertise to inform decision making and preparing and submitting strategic reports.

Consortium Manager for the ISARIC 4C (Coronavirus Clinical Characterisation Consortium) project.This was a UK-wide consortium of doctors and scientists committed to answering urgent questions about COVID-19 quickly, openly, and for the benefit of all.The UK needed a coordinated response to answer key questions as quickly as possible. Over the last 8 years the team had been preparing for such a major outbreak worldwide International Severe Acute Respiratory Infection Consortium Clinical Characterisation Protocol; our team deployed immediately and had been collecting data and samples since the first cases were reported in the UK.My role was to manage the multi million pound budget, coordinate the research centres and oversee whole project communication including press releases and website updates.

EDINA is a world-class centre for digital expertise, based at the University of Edinburgh. They work with partners to innovate, deliver and inspire, they transform new ideas into robust solutions by providing a range of software and technical services to the education and related sectors.My role within EDINA was to manage the overall funding strategy, identify and support the development of public and private sector tenders, charitable funding bids and research proposals by working with colleagues across EDINA and the University. My role also included the creation of new product marketing strategy, campaigns and associated roll out. This activity included mailings, identifying conferences for Edina to present at, social media posts and generate marketing collateral.I was responsible for the management of information systems (Salesforce, SharePoint, Google Analytics and Journyx), CRM processes and engagement and training across the business. I managed the initial GDPR project and was responsible for the annual review of GDPR compliance and reporting. I used the information systems to provide the senior leadership team with business analytics and management information forecasting sales, customer retention, new product projections and campaign penetration.

The University of Edinburgh have created an educational tool called Digimap for Schools. My role had two phases; set up and execution.Set up involved creating a CRM in Excel using census and existing customer data. The CRM captured the activity of the three Business Development Managers and provided a collated overview of the activity impact. I created a SharePoint page for the team, wrote campaign emails and a call ‘script’.Execution involved working with the team to ensure that every school in Scotland was contacted by the team. Success was measured in two ways; firstly that all schools were contacted and aware of the service and secondly that subscription levels increased. Within the team SharePoint page I created an activity dashboard so that we could monitor our impact.Our sales activity increased the Digimap for Schools subscriber base by 115%.

I was predominantly contacting American local state governments and education offices to promote local contests with a view to turning cold leads into warm connections. In addition to this I managed relationships with existing teacher users to encourage them to promote Sumdog to their networks.

Focussing on Trust, Lottery and Corporate fundraising.Delivering the major gifts strategy across trusts, major donor and corporate in Scotland. We focus on building tailored, donor centric relationships for Scottish supporters of this large UK wide charity, creating high impact transformative experiences for everyone involved and we are fastidious about monitoring and evaluating the work we do. We have had some major success recently with new partnerships with the SPFL, Barratt West of Scotland, STV Appeal and Comic Relief amongst others. We aim to end bad housing in Scotland and put Shelter out of business as quickly as possible.
