I began my position researching EVMS Alumni and current students’ enrollment and specialties. Position required the use many rosters, internet sites, and Raisers Edge Program to successfully find information. All data found was compiled in an excel worksheet and saved for future reference. I was then responsible for updating return mail data in Raisers Edge and minimizing the constituents without a valid address. During the hours of 1pm to 5 pm I took calls for the office and other offices if calls were transferred. I took donations over the phone from current and new donors. Over my course of training I’ve gained the knowledge to accurately work in Raisers Edge; updating addresses, specialties, birth dates, contact information, and residency and graduation years. Another program I used hand in hand with RE was Lexis Nexus, this allowed for finding the most accurate and recent contact information. I continued the use of Lexus Nexus daily and used it as a valuable research tool. During my time at EVMS I was largely held responsible for cleaning up data and adding to their pool of information with accurate and up to date information.

Initial duties included investigating vehicle damage using many different computer programs simultaneously. Basic office duties entailed sending and receiving faxes, and the common use of copiers, scanners, and printers. Since performing those duties with a high level of productivity, I have been tasked with more duties such as handling incoming and outgoing mail. Other job requirements involved the consistent use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PDF files. Within just six months I was given the opportunity to train three co-workers which led to them gaining the skills necessary to perform similar tasks.
