With over 13 years of experience in the education sector, I am passionate about delivering quality teacher training and development programmes that help build a fair education for all. As a Regional Manager at Teach First, I oversee multiple projects that support our trainees and programme members to become effective and confident educators. I have a BA (Hons) in Secondary Physical Education with Qualified Teacher Status, and I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, having taught in disadvantaged areas within Yorkshire and the Humber.In my current role, I manage the delivery and impact of our Teacher Training Programme, specifically managing the teacher educators supporting trainees to meet ITT criteria and work towards recommendation for Qualified Teacher Status. I work with people across the organisation to ensure that our programmes are aligned, efficient, and high-quality. I use my extensive experience in ITE to lead on trainee selection as part of Suitability to Teach processes, managing complex and diverse needs of trainees wishing to enter onto the programme. I have previously led and managed the work of an ITT QTS only pilot for career changers (Time to Teach). I managed this pilot project from inception to implementation, using my skills in interviewing subject matter experts, overseeing projects, and partnership recruitment to ensure that the programme met the needs and expectations of our stakeholders.
