Additionally, I was a key contributor to many policy reviews and updates, providing sounds advise and ensuring compliance with industrial instruments.I also ensured that the team was working efficiently, identified improvement opportunities and made recommendations for process improvements. As a part of my role, I analysed performance dashboards, issues registers and data reporting in order to track team performance and identify efficiencies which could be gained from continuous process improvements.I built and maintained strong, collaborative and mutually beneficial relationships with our customers and stakeholders alike and to actively supported change management throughout the transition brought about by our HR Transformation projects, to provide optimisation of our services.

I managed all statutory payments, including Payroll Tax, WorkCover and Superannuation and month end procedures, including reconciliation of nominated general ledger accounts. Again, I had to have a good understanding of State Awards, EBA’s, AWA’s and Site Agreements and the ability to communicate them to colleagues and employees. I developed and implemented a procedures manual for both the Payroll Administrator role and Payroll Officer roles within the department. I was also part of the project team to role out the first Organisational Structure at Baulderstone and was responsible for subsequent maintenance of organisational hierarchy.
Payroll Subject Matter Expert / Senior Payroll Officer
My first role at BHPB, required me to complete a knowledge transfer and detailed procedural documentation of payroll information from two BHPB sites – GEMCO (Groote Eylandt) and TEMCO (Bell Bay, Tasmania).
