• Project managed and edited illustrated titles from concept stage to finished book, including areas such as reference, cookery, lifestyle and craft, up to 960 pages in extent with up to 600 images.
• Managed budgets and tight schedules, authors and contributors and a team of freelance staff; liaised with art directors, sales teams and clients; provided writing guidance and assistance; wrote and edited copy.
• Commissioned and briefed designers; styled, art directed and co-ordinated photoshoots with up to 18 models; conducted picture research; managed freelance picture researchers and demanding picture research projects.
• Trained and monitored new staff, negotiated deals with picture libraries, developed people management skills.New Titles:
• Researched, sourced and commissioned authors to write new title presentations on a variety of subjects.
