I teach in a therapeutic classroom where the primary focus is on mental health and stabilization for children ages 5-11. I work closely with my team to provide a safe environment for students to learn how to identify, manage and express emotions effectively. This includes creating and implementing a structured schedule that incorporates academics, social emotional learning, exercise, sensory activities and therapy with our licensed therapist.

I write Individual Education Programs and lesson plans for children with learning disabilities, ages 5-11. I implement these programs and teach ELA and math in small groups. Along with academic instruction, I also implement positive behavior reinforcement systems and teach social emotional learning.
