I am the director providing expert consultancy and witness services for character and appearance, heritage and landscape issues on a wide range of planning casework that ranges from support for iconic modern architecture to solar farms.I am author of the RIBA Plan of Work 2013 Guide to Town Planning, RIBA Publishing with forward by the Chief Planning Planner, DCLG Steve Quartermain.Green Planning Studio is based in Shropshire. We work for private and commercial clients throughout England & Wales. In my term I instigated new measures to protect students during the recession, promoted the value of good design and had considerable success in influencing the content of the NPPF with respect to design.

I worked as an architect latterly senior architect (part time) on general and special needs housing as a part of the in-house team. In this role I developed detailed knowledge of Registered Social Landlord housing design and funding including special needs design.

I was employed as an architect for commercial projects. During this time I designed a house for the brother of a partner at the practice that won a CPRE award. As a young architect I developed my detailed knowledge of industrial construction and management contracting and improved my ability to design houses

On completion of my Part II I was employed as an architectural assistant to a national house builder on housing layout and landscape design. I designed and detailed a new set of house types for sheltered accommodation for a protected woodland site in Leeds. I developed a knowledge of house design and construction, site layout and landscape design.
