•Answering phones, manages staff schedules. Service union members and retirees to ensure they receive appropriate services. •Provides administrative support to the President, Bargaining Chairman of Unit 1 & Unit 2, Executive Board and Board of Trustees; preparation of Executive Board Elections and for Local and National Contract Negotiations. •Prepares, distributes, collects, records, arrange and compiles employee demographics, maintains data related to new hires to include: new hire information, withdrawals, terminations, and union-related operations. Prepare agendas and material in accordance with established practices. Performs typing assignments with required skill and accuracy, proof read and edit rough copy for grammar, spelling, and style.•Process and record confidential data for financial records.•Process incoming and outgoing mail. Greets visitors, answer inquiries and/or directs them to appropriate department. •Operate various office equipment including PC’s, photo copier, calculator, typewriter. Maintain inventory of office materials and standard office supplies; purchases needed supplies as required.•Perform routine maintenance and arrange for service and/or repair of equipment. Provides back up assistance to other office personnel to maintain efficient office operations at all times.•Directs and reviews the work of staff.•Ability to exercise tact, patience, and discretion in communicating and dealing with persons of varying backgrounds and temperament.
