Use of a PMR (Planning Material Report) for procurement of materials used in the manufacturing of equipment.Responsible for negotiating pricing & delivery as well as supplier selection, relations and quality management.Supports the planning and engineering department with direct procurement of raw materials, components & instruments required for new product development, assembly-line production, and bench build production.Identifies alternative procurement sources to ensure the long-term, cost effective supply.Implement procurement strategies to determine supplier consolidation and VMI programs.Provides support for the Quality Department with engineering change orders, non-conformance's, and accounting/receiving discrepancies.Assists with the return to vendor process (RTV) and RTV reconciliation.Monitors the performance of subcontract suppliers to delivery schedules, commitment,and performance based on the terms and conditions of the negotiated contracts.Participates in process improvement projects through the use of cross functional Kaizen events.

- Answers, screens and directs telephone calls- Provides information by answering questions and requests- Responsible for sourcing, negotiating terms and purchasing of materials, equipment and services - Contacting vendors for quotations and establishing lead time on orders- Entering Purchase Orders into the inventory management system- Build, and maintain professional relations with suppliers, vendors, and outside contacts- Report to Operations personnel to derive project specific delivery schedules for material stored, along with regular follow-up to ensure schedule is on track- Keeping all Bill of Materials / Project Buy Lists / Purchase Order Records current- Assist with completing and submitting credit applications to new vendors- Verifies accuracy of vendor invoices and packing lists for processing by Accounting- Review, book and manage all aspects of commercial and internal sales orders received from the business in an efficient and timely manner.- Provide customers with order verification, updates on delivery dates, product availability and pricing- Picks, packs, verifies, and processes customer orders to be shipped via internationally and domestically- Preparing international shipments for export and determining classification for Harmonized codes - Coordinates with Agents and partners and ensure that all shipments are properly documented- Registering international shipments with Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) through the United States Customs and Border Protection- Preparing all proper documentation for the carrier to all destinations globally and locally - Managing shipments from origin to destination to ensure customer satisfaction- Conducts commodity classification- Maintain applicable trade compliance records in accordance with regulatory requirements- Presents data and information on compliance matters as it relates to the business- Maintains an awareness of regulatory changes or rulings and their impact on import/exports
