As a senior family violence practitioner, Ruth practises within a strengths based and client centred framework. Her advanced supervisory and leadership skills are dedicated to supporting multidisciplinary teams, to triage, assess and support families affected by family violence and where there are child wellbeing concerns. Ruth has specialist skills working with young people and their families who are experiencing inter-generational conflict, adolescent violence in the home, trauma and refugee settlement issues. Ruth has extensive knowledge and skills in the family violence legal system, implementing the MARAM and new information sharing legislation. Ruth is a committed advocate who develops strong stakeholder relationships. She is a reflective practitioner, who brings a unique skill set and energy to teams. Ruth is completing her Masters in Therapeutic Arts Practice and utilises arts practice in her engagement with individuals and families.
