Ruth is supporting the ACTIS Africa investment team in portfolio management and exit management for Africa Health Fund investments in Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria and Zambia.

Ruth was an Associate Director at The Abraaj Group. She was a member of the healthcare investment team responsible for Africa Health Fund and Evercare Hospitals platform in East Africa. She supported deal origination, portfolio management and exit of investments. While at Abraaj, she supported deployment of capital in the health sector in Kenya and Zambia and exit management of 2 investments in Kenya and 1 investment in Morocco.

Ruth was a Senior Advisor in Risk Consulting and Sustainability Advisory Services in KPMG East Africa. She provided risk advisory services to clients in Development and Commercial Banking, Manufacturing, Insurance, Petroleum, Aviation and Communication sectors. Skills gained from her risk consulting experience with KPMG East Africa include: corporate governance; risk assessment; management of internal audit teams; preparation of internal audit reports; presentation of reports to management and Board members of KPMG clients. She was also instrumental in establishment of the KPMG East Africa Sustainability Advisory Services unit.
