Since 1996, San Francisco-based Community Initiatives has supported community projects, ideas, and partnerships with fiscal sponsorship. With shared 501(c)3 status and back-office services like financial management, human resources, and grant management, sponsored projects can focus on what matters most—delivering public good to communities.We assist, champion, and provide administrative services to unincorporated nonprofit projects that benefit the community. We manage over $20 million in nonprofit assets for approximately 100 projects. We administer payroll and benefits for 150 employees and run 175 background checks annually. We accept and disburse over 9,000 individual donations every year. All of our projects receive comprehensive liability insurance. Nonprofit administration is what we do.We serve projects that focus on animal welfare, social justice initiatives, environmental causes, arts, education, health and so much more. Responsible for the operation of a 12-acre multi-use facility that averages 2,000 visitors per day. Facility included a 42,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art health club, two elementary schools, one synagogue, full service café, and both indoor and outdoor commercial theaters. Direct operations for 9 California locations that provide 45,000 low income household with over $89 million worth of supportive goods and services including food, tax, transportation, and housing assistance. Clients include:Kapor Center for Social Impact (A SOCIAL CHANGE FOUNDATION)•Designed funder framework to disseminate information on Science and Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics career pathways for African American and Latino Youth. •Created a detailed financial report that examines non-grant revenue generating options for non-profits based in Oakland, California.Center for Volunteer and Non Profit LeadershipServed as the temporary Executive Search Director. In 3 month period placed 5 C-suite executive leaders and collected over $100k in fees from unpaid accounts. •Designed annual signature fundraising event display of over 250 donated silent auction items. Auction raised over $80k.The BAE Company•Technical lead for On Lok Lifeway’s electronic medical record system, PACELink, up-grade to meet Affordable Care Act standards. Up-grade provided 10 senior health and wellness centers with virtual access to over 10,000 patient records.
