Institute For Excellence provides high school students with the opportunity to earn college credit and it is designed to increase students’ exposure to careers in alternative energy and to increase the number of all students, particularly Latinx and historically marginalized youth interested in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).As a mentor, my duties included supervising the students from 8am-3pm, Mon-Fri, for 5 weeks, working as a TA for their college classes, facilitating College & Career Readiness lessons, providing mentorship for the students in their personal & academic endeavors, & resolving various conflicts.

Work with Fairfax County Public Schools to ensure students at Woodson High School feel safe and don't feel discriminated against. SPIRIT Council proposed an action plan for next year, which will be evaluated, and implemented appropriately. Duties include attending SPIRIT Day, partaking in equity discussions, and identifying prevalent issues & figuring out solutions with facilitator.

Helped co-found the club, duties include club administration, event coordination, assistant to president, direct contact with club sponsor, creating presentations, sending out mass update emails, manage onboarding of new members/officers, help create performances, and train junior officers

Junior AMP Mentor responsibilities include tutoring high school freshman, teaching College & Career Readiness lessons, and providing guidance in academic and personal pursuits. Site Liaison responsibilities include all of the above along with managing other mentors, submitting weekly detailed reports, direct contact with supervisor, and keep track of student and mentor attendance.

Duties include planning, executing, and advertising volunteer opportunities to 100+ club members. Projects completed include Sock Drive (self initiated), Comfort Kits for Kids, IHL (movie night fundraiser), and Blood Drive (on-site club officer representative).

Attend classes at George Mason University for 5 weeks in summer. Taking Intro to Kinesiology for college credit. Other notable courses include College & Career Readiness and Intro to Health Sciences (no credit). Two weeks virtual, 3 weeks in person.
