Introducing myself and Wood 'n' Wonders! If you love unique and bespoke wood art, you are in the right place! Whether a personal piece, a company logo, or corporate, I endeavour to meet anything requested with honesty, confidentiality and care. I am of a very friendly and outgoing nature, so I promise I am a person who you will be happy to deal with!My specialities are Scroll Saw Art and Pyrography. Both are very tactile and beautiful, bringing wood to life in a unique way. Every piece is crafted with love and care, ensuring great attention to all details.Using a scroll saw, beautiful works of art are created out of one piece of wood; images (e.g. animals, wording etc).Pyrography is using a wood burning tool. This is an incredible art which knows no bounds! For example, recreating portraits from photographs (people or animals), images, wording (e.g. names, quotes, poems, anything!). Using an extremely hot burning pen (500 degrees C) with variable heat settings, images burned into the wood have a depth and beauty about them.Recently I introduced glass etching which uses a special drill tool in order to create beautiful images and wording on glass. Wood being my first love, it is incorporated in some way with glass, be it a plinth or a border on the glass. All enquiries are dealt with efficiently and effectively; working with you to establish exactly what you have in mind. I also keep you advised on progress and let you know when your unique piece is completed and ready to be couriered to you.I work from home, with three workshops in our garden. One for large tools, cutting equipment and storage for beautiful pieces of wood. The second one houses 2 scroll saw machines and work in progress through to the sanding stage. Finally through to workshop three, which is the finishing workshop and sawdust free as this is where staining (if required) is done, application of wood oils, varnishing etc.Thank you for reading and I hope to hear from you! x
