As the Executive Director of the Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund, it's my daily privilege to lead the 18 member team serving single parent students in all 75 counties in Arkansas. Through our efforts, we've distributed over 46,000 scholarships worth more than $27 million and, most importantly, assisted tens of thousands of Arkansas single parents raise themselves and their children out of poverty.

Working as a contract consultant, I delivered practical and effective strategies to help non-profit organizations strengthen their foundation and increase their capacity. After thorough initial discussion and evaluation, each Client received an individualized coaching and training program designed to meet their particular needs. This may have included strengthening the Board and committee structure, business plan development, strategic planning, team building, training for the Board, staff, and volunteers, professional coaching for the executive director or development director, updating bylaws, policies, and position descriptions, fundraising, and grant writing or assisting the agency in becoming "grant ready"​. I added further value to organizations through grant writing, team motivation/training days, continuing education, conference workshops, and keynotes.

Responsible for leading the transition of the NW Arkansas Chapter from a four-county community chapter to the increased authority of a 19 county Regional Chapter as part of new national construct for service delivery. One of only 2 Regional Chapters in Arkansas. Supervised paid staff of 28 year-round and 80+ seasonal, and volunteer staff of over 300.Ensured disaster response and health and safety services within jurisdiction, including 5 geographic regions and 2 branch offices.Budget over site ($1.3m), income diversification, and fund development.Board Development, Staff Development

Responsible for day-to-day operations of state-wide crisis agency while ensuring financial and agency growth. • Finances – Developed and managed annual budget, grant writing and grant financial reports, United Way applications, special events, major gifts. Increased mission driven program revenue. • Strategic Planning of innovative programs to address community needs within sphere of agency’s mission; Specifically, I started the Arkansas Teen Crisis Helpline, the Spanish Helpline, TTY based crisis services, multi-language translation services, Youth Violence Prevention program, and the Touching Home program for Senior adults.• Community Relations – Developed and enhanced partnerships with individuals and groups, including United Ways and other funders, donors, potential donors, other agencies, etc.

Responsible for creating, facilitating, and evaluating programs and trainings in 15-county area for 4,545 girls and 1,870 adult volunteers. Prepared and administered annual program and training budgets. • Created innovative recreational and educational program activities for girl members at all program levels. • Designed trainings appropriate for leaders at all experience levels and for all program areas (troop leader training, outdoor skills, safety training, etc.)• Prepared annual training calendar for 15 county service area. Led and evaluated trainings. Purchased and maintained training equipment.• Supervised team of 35 volunteer trainers and coordinated their efforts throughout the council. • Designed and wrote original patch programs, leaders’ guides, newsletters, trainer’s manuals, ceremony guides, Daisy Girl Scout Cookbook, song books, etc. • Designed and led all council-wide programs and council-sponsored trips and events.
