Trauma Recovery Services Social Worker
CurrentProvide Trauma Recovery Services focusing on treating trauma from the lifespan (e.g., combat, MST, childhood) using skill based, recovery-focused direct patient care for trauma-related mental health issues. Conduct diagnostic evaluations and comprehensive treatment planning. Provide individual, group, couples/family psychotherapy, and psychoeducation in an outpatient setting with Veterans diagnosed with PTSD. Use Evidenced Based Psychotherapies (EBPs) such as Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Prolonged Exposure (PE), as well as psychoeducation and skills groups (e.g. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Skills Training for Affect and Interpersonal Regulation (STAIR), Mindfulness, Anger Management) for treatment of PTSD.
