Acting as an MC for events such as:Embassy of Timor Leste Independence Day celebrations.The Big Sing choir festival sessions, Gala Concerts and awards ceremony.

As a performer, I take gigs in many settings and situations; weddings, funerals, charity auctions, restaurants, festivals. I work as a solo act and with a variety of groups in varying styles; Jazz, Brazilian Bossa Nova and Samba, Musical Theatre, Opera.

Musical Stars is a children's performing arts school based in 3 locations around Wellington.As the vocal arts specialist tutor, Ruth mentors the children through the song-learning process, working closely with the dance and drama departments, especially in the lead-up to the major production each year.

As tutor of the Youth Vocal Arts programme at Rata School of Music, Ruth takes private and group vocal lessons, classes, workshops and masterclasses for singers aged 6 to 16. With a focus on vocal versatility across styles and genres, Ruth uses her 16+ years of teaching and performing experience to foster the young talent of Wellington.Rata School of Music is a new enterprise of Rata Studios, a private Arts school run at Scots College, Strathmore, Wellington, New Zealand

After 12 wonderful years at WMC I have moved on to take more hours at Rata Studios School of Music.
