I own and run my own 30 acre mixed livestock farm in Dumfries and Galloway.I work with rare and native breeds to manage the land in a regenerative way, improving biodiversity and benefiting wildlife. Everything I produce from the farm is created with love, nurtured from nature and allowed to grow slowly, naturally - the way nature intended.I am happy to talk about my experiences and working ethics, and able to accommodate on farm visits for interested parties.

My Role at Mamas and Papas is a highly creative position, which utilises a wide breadth of design skills, ranging from trend research and analysis, to conceptualisation and product design, through to drawing up final design specifications to send to manufacturers.As the sole designer for gift, it is my responsibility to identify upcoming key trends in the market and use them to inform my design work whilst staying true to the brand values of M&P.As well as looking after my own category, my role often requires me to work across category, producing character graphics for toy and interior ranges too.Another key area of my role is to create character illustrations, stories and layouts for M&P’s new own brand book range, which ranges from classic nursery rhymes through to more educational activity books.Key responsibilities:Researching and analising trends.Communicating design concepts, via mood boards and other means.Graphic design, from characters and patterns through to graphic placement.Working individually and as part of a wider design team.

After graduating from university I worked for myself exhibiting and selling my designs across the UK and internationally.I won the New Designers One Year On award in 2008, and licensed my design work out to the unique US retailer Anthropologie.

My role at Liz Corker Bride comprised of selling off the rail designer bridal gowns, modifying dresses to suit a brides individual needs and designing bespoke wedding dresses from scratch.My key role was front of shop, running consultations with brides and accessorising and styling full bridal parties (including bride, bridesmaid, mother of the bride and groomswear). It was a very energetic role, which required a strong flair for design, a gentle but authoritative sales technique, and excellent people skills.As well as having a strong front of house presence I was also responsible for the day to day running of the boutique, including merchandising stock, dressing the windows, costing design work, liaising with seamstresses and managing orders.
