My experience dealing with youth "at-and-in risk" has been personal as well as within my organizational and work in general.I was a Parent Advocate at the Yatzken Center (a drug & alcohol rehab for Jewish youth) from 2003-2004. I helped parents get through many phases of their childrens rehabilitation as well as their own.My goal for Bechirot and my contribution to this field, is prevention. If children learn the skills they need to have a good self-esteem and use them as tools to live within society today, they have a better chance of making correct and healthy choices (Saying "No"). Know that they are responsible for those choices and that at the end of the day they will have to either live with them or correct them!At Bechirot, we feel that when one is faced with an emotional situation or decision...they don't think with their brain, rather with their heart, their emotion. And so, our interactive, experiential workshops fill that need, by actually helping those taking part in the workshops FEEL and experience the different feelings to the particular life skill. With that said, prevention is alot healthier and cheaper than intervention.Specialties: What makes us different is; we cater each program to the needs of the client. The presentation, curriculum or workshops are tailored made and presented by and for the specific fit and dynamics of each client. We are kid and people friendly. We speak to the heart. Not AT you.
