Operational responsibility for the Programmes Department at Free Press Unlimited. The department develops and realises programmes and projects in the field of journalism, media and press freedom. Supervise and coach all programme teams and staff to execute all programmes in close collaboration with the Director of Programmes Development.

The Kenya Media Programme aims to strenghthen the media sector in Kenya through grantmaking, learning and encouraging debate. Responsible for overall implementation of the programme, managing a team of five, relations with donors, finance and planning and strategy.

Programme Media and Freedom of Expression was aimed to support media organisations in 11 countries in Southern Africa. Partnership were established with 30 organisations in the field of (community) radio, journlaism education, freedom of expression, media legislation, and coomunication NGO's in Africa.
