Salford

For two years I led the capital fundraising campaign to open the RHS's first garden in Salford, Manchester. We inspired a philanthropist to make a lead individual gift of £1.8m.

Building on my work in Switzerland, I developed the European fundraising strategy for The University of Manchester, working with senior alumni and philanthropists to forge closer connections with the University and support for its students, research and programmes.

My role took me regularly to London and Switzerland, and occasionally to Hong Kong, working with senior business people and philanthropists who wanted to help support opportunities for the younger generation. I also provided high level strategic support to senior Faculty colleagues, with lead responsibility for philanthropic activities related to the.

I was responsible for publicising Cambridge's humanities research centre and its research and outreach programmes within the University and externally, and to existing and potential donors.

My role at this publisher incorporated print and online editorial across four magazines, project management for three international events, marketing and communications, administration, budgeting and finance. I also played an active role in business development, launching two new magazines and four new websites.
