Australian Co-Convenor for the International Standard on AI and Data (ISO/IEC 1/ SC42/WG6) where she works on a range of AI and Data related standards, including the 5259 series on Data Quality for AI.Expert Contributor to standards on Data Usage (ISO/IEC 1/SC32/WG6) where she contributed to Guidance for Data Usage and provided a use case to the accompanying Terminology and Use Cases standard (both due for publication in early 2025). Working on early drafts of a framework for organisation data usage evaluation. Expert contributor to standards on Identity Management and Privacy Technologies (ISO/IEC 1/SC27/WG5). Currently working on a standard for privacy risk measurement.

Just completing an initial discovery phase with friend and collaborator Dr. Theresa Anderson, where we reviewed data ethics practices and artefacts and workshopped with data leaders across the organisation. A very rewarding process, where we spoke to so many highly skilled and motivated data practitioners about seeing all aspects of data use through an ethical lens.

Developing and rolling out data governance and ethical data management processes and training for the organisation.Established collaborative research projects with univeristies and research organisations in Australia and overseas. Using Learning Analytics and Data Science with Practera, our leading experiential learning platform, to develop new approaches to online experiential learning.Obtained funding for and directed a three year, $7m, collaborative (CRC-P) project to develop privacy-aware Learning Analytics technologies : "Trusted Analytics". This is a government funded Cooperative Research Collaboration Project (CRC-P) supported by AusIndustry. Project partners include CSIRO's Data61, University of South Australia's Learning Analytics research group, Global education services provider Navitas, Education and technology industry hub EduGrowth, and Cyber Security specialists Cybermerc. As the lead partner on this project Practera sets the strategy, scope and direction of the programs of work, under my direction.Sector lead for HDR and Research institutions. Most recently partnered with CSIRO to design, develop and deliver the acclaimed Innovate to Grow program, designed to bring Australia's Small to Medium Enterprises and researchers together to stimulate innovation and research collaboration. Established and rolled-out the Data Governance framework including tools, standards, processes, and supporting systems and training for the Practera organisation.

Performance Assurance (PA) Pty Ltd is a newly established company, which was spun out from a NICTA research program in mid 2013. PA is a solution provider with a unique value proposition in the ICT management space. It offers a semi-automated performance, validation and risk management solution. By automating and systemising ICT validation and performance testing throughout the investment lifecycle, PA can identify technical risk and evaluate architectural alternatives to significantly improve the success rate and ROI of large IT and business process change initiatives. I successfully prepared the team for commercial spin-out from NICTA in 2012/13. Major responsibilities were to establish sound commercial practices, and develop a healthy sales pipeline and funding and partnership strategy. I now remain with the company as a member of the board.

Consulting to leading ICT research and development organisation, NICTA, to facilitate the commercial spin-out of numerous software and services groups. Currently Relationship Manager to Telstra Corp, Australian telecommunications company, on behalf of NICTA, and assisting with two potential spin-outs:* Anonalytix - a big data privacy risk management and de-identification capability; and* Coviu - a peer to peer video and data collaboration platform which uses the latest HTML5 WebRTC standards.Previous projects have included:* Ambiata, NICTA's big data analytics team - exited by strategic sale in 2015.* Yuruware cloud migration solution - which exited in 2014 via sale to US-based Unitrends; * RedLizard Goanna static code analysis platform;* Performance Assurance Pty Ltd. - where I remain as COO and Director.
