Organize and coordinate Job Fairs in support of the Tuscaloosa Career Center. Develop and facilitate all career workshops, employer training, and financial workshops for the career center. Periodically provide training presentations during quarterly JVSG staff training.Business Services: Work with local Career Center WIOA staff in providing qualified Veterans to the WIOA programs. Maintain the ADOL-JVSDG Active Outlook Group and ShareDrive designed to enhance communication and coordination amongst state JVSG representatives. Build active productive rapport with regional employers for the nine county territory.Marketing: Market and promote the hiring of Veterans through matched hard and soft skills, incentive programs provided through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, Apprenticeship Alabama, and Work Opportunity Tax Credits. Encourage employers to apply for the Hire A Vet Medallion Program with its promotional and recognition incentives. Work closely with Apprenticeship Alabama and US Department of Labor in developing apprenticeship programs with employers throughout Alabama Region 3.
