I bring expertise and passion for entrepreneurial endeavors, NGO projects and community initiatives that leverage creativity.Particular focus: Convening Multi Stakeholders (for common purpose or project) & integrating entrepreneurial / social venture concepts particularly related to the arts, education, and the environment.

As the first Program Director at IRW, I supported the mission of creating a passion for reading and learning among children from coastal islands and Downeast Maine. I built the capacity of the organization through the development of internal systems, new forms of data collection and analysis to improve programming, increased the number of network schools, community collaborators, and expanded our author / illustrator roster. By embedding the practice of inquiry, reflection, and accountability into all aspects of IRW activity, I worked to empower the students, educators, partners and IRW itself, with the power of creative learning.

Managed and lead a unique high-impact, non-profit organization responsible for finding, documenting and cross pollinating promising educational practices, among and between charter, district and innovation schools. Particular favorite focus: Building Reflective Practice and using Action Research and Peer Learning protocols to support educators and school leaders.

Upon return from Peace Corps in Former Soviet Union (Moldova), leveraged the experience at Harvard to refine and update knowledge with most recent NGO / Int'l experience.

Trained in a One star and a Two star Michelin restaurant in The Netherlands. Studied food and culture throughout 21 different Western European countries while traveling by bicycle and train.
