I had the opportunity to be selected as one of the many dedicated tutors at Scholars Education. In the several months that I've been working, I've taught a handful of students in subjects ranging from Elementary reading and writing skills to Secondary Functions. As a tutor, I am responsible for ensuring the student's needs as placed above my own and for actively listening to my students to effectively guide them towards academic success. Organizational skills are one of the many skills that I apply each tutoring session to help teach my students in a timely manner and in a way that is most effective for the students needs. Communication skills alongside academic skills are applied each and every tutoring sessions to help establish a comfortable and professional environments between myself and my students.

During my co-op term at Grand River Collegiate Institute, I had the opportunity to work alongside Dr. Iuliana Dragomir and the team at Pioneer Eye Care for 4 months. In the time I spent at Pioneer Eye Care, I acquired organizational skills and communication skills that are required to interact with patients and customers requiring eyeglasses. I had the opportunity to work alongside Dr. Iuliana Dragomir in various appointments, where I experienced and performed tasks such as preparing the examination room for the patient, assisting in obtaining photos of the patients eyes for further study, and assisting the patients and optician in the sale of eyeglasses. I was taught how to use the specific program used in Optometry clinics to store patients medical data and examination results, and continued to use this program to transfer patients paper-copy files to digitalized files. I acquired sharp organizational skills and effective communication skills that were used to contribute to the team at Pioneer Eye Care.
