As Controlling & Finance Manager of the Czech branch with 200 employees, I was responsible for financial management of the company, reporting and controlling activities for Czech management as well as the headquarters in the USA, and management of a three-member team. My responsibilities included: • Management of tax and accounting (approving monthly and annual financial statements, preparing tax returns, compiling US GAAP financial statements, optimizing accounting processes, resolving complex tax issues – VAT, deductibles for research and development, and posting workers to other countries);• Preparation of budgets and creation of economic reports and analyses (analyses of sales, costs, and overall economic performance, fractional analyses based on current needs, cost planning, cash flows); • Implementation and harmonization of corporate processes; communication with C-level managers in the parent company in the US and foreign branches, representing the company in dealings with state and local authorities.
