Project Hope is a non-profit organization that provides support services to homeless families and families at risk of becoming homeless, families leaving shelter and families in need of emergency assistance.

Responsible for the day-to day operations, functions and management of a non-profit organization. Recruit and supervise community volunteers from MA Dept of Transitional Assistance, Summer Youth Employment Program and the Senior Employment Program. Directly supervise agency's four-core program Directors/Coordinators: Adult Basic Education Program, Health Program, Citizenship & Immigration and Workforce Development Program. Conduct periodic performance evaluations, evaluate training needs and promote professional development opportunities. Conduct weekly Leadership Team Meetings, Client Case Review Meetings, Student Placement & Assessments Plans. Oversee program contracts, budgets, and monitor and approve purchases and program expenditures. Maintain reporting requirements and ensure satisfaction of program funders. Maintain partnerships, working collaborations and joint programming with other community institutions and agencies.Work closely with

Worked with a diverse team of health professionals on implementing the highest quality of patient medical care and attention. Developed medical actions plans and intervention measures for high-risk Asthma patients. Designed health education materials and curriculum appropriate for a largely diverse Spanish-speaking population. Facilitated Focus Group Meetings. Maintained active caseload of patients under on-going respiratory care. Monitored Emergency Room visits for Asthma patients. Conducted home visits to high-risk low-income families, provided one-on-one education and ensured medication adherence and monitored compliance.

Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention ProgramIdentified elevated blood lead levels in children under the age of 5 through the Department of Public Health, Immunology Department.Facilitated house/apartment inspection through the City of Chelsea Department of Inspectional Services.Conducted home visits to families, provided one-on-one education and ensured medication compliance with such laws.Monitored a continuum of blood tests with Massachusetts Department of Visiting Nurses.

Oversee the day -to -day functions of the agency's new battered women residential program for adolescent women. Total of 9 women and their children. Provided 24-hour emergency beeper coverage 7 days a week. Interviewed, Hired and Supervised program advocates, overnight relief staff, childcare program coordinator and program volunteers. Conduct Performance Evaluations and on-going professional development needs. Conducted phone interviews with out of state program staff referring to our program, as well as interviewed potential candidates traveling long distance prior to program admission. Secure their understanding of program rules, safety plans and program policies. Received women from out of state and Puerto Rico.Conducted weekly program case review meetings with program staff. Met and interviewed each program participant. Assist in the development, Implementation and Compliance of Individual Service Plans for the women and their children.Conducted random drug screening, sporadic fire drills, and unannounced room searches. Worked with 5 other agency program directors in implementing and securing a residential model that would influence and improve the quality of life of the program residents. Discussed and reviewed Individual Safety Plan for women in crisis. Worked directly with; Coalition for the Homeless and other community professionals involved in this service delivery system. Maintained contacts and ongoing communication with contract managers, monitored program budget, and reporting requirements.
