My name is Ruthie Steele and I am currently a senior at Utah Valley University pursuing a B.S. in Digital Marketing. After I graduate I plan to begin my career in social media management specifically in the fashion or beauty industry. I have always had a love for content creation, editing photos, creating graphics or anything digital. Along with the creative side of digital marketing, my time at UVU has expanded my knowledge of data analytics, business management, and technology software and how it plays an important role in my future career. My recent internship at The UVU Entrepreneurship Institute exposed me to managing social platforms, working with a team, taking on leadership, and using my creative abilities to improve the engagement on their Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn account while running effective ads. I was able to rebrand their company's image, increase followers and create more word of mouth awareness in the area. I especially loved getting to attend photoshoots, gathering content of my own, designing graphics and the company's whole Instagram layout. I know that I can contribute organization, multi-tasking, determination, coordination and collaboration to any team or employer in the future. I also know that I have a passion for what I do and will always put one hundred percent into anything I do.
