  • Intrinsic Schools

I taught English Language Arts to high school students at the 9th grade level. In addition to developing students' knowledge of grammar, rhetoric, and composition, our curriculum provided students with the discursive categories best suited to help them promote diversity, inclusion, and cultural awareness in their communities. Modeling and executing this dedication to diversity in the classroom, I collaborated with my team to create lesson plans that accommodate students with different learning needs and preferences. Finally, while working with students of varying reading levels, I consistently prioritized close reading and analysis in order to equip students with critical thinking skills and an appreciation for innovation and creativity.
