The Deputy Chief Information Officer (DCIO) is responsible for overseeing the procurement, management, development, operations, and continual improvement of all business solutions provided to the Department of Revenue by the ITS section. In addition, this role provides oversight for the implementation of technologies for this agency in alignment with the CIO’s vision and direction. This position has primary responsibility for implementing the application strategy and direction for the application portfolio, maintaining the portfolio of applications used by the agency, and executing all IT projects run by the department for the agency. The DCIO also serves as second-in-command to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and participates in executive-level decisions and development of policies, priorities, plans and budgets to achieve the objectives of the Agency.This position is responsible either directly or through subordinate managers for day-to-day operations of ITS and is responsible for providing broad, comprehensive information systems and technology programs and services as informed by the strategy and direction of the CIO. This includes working closely with Enterprise Information Services (EIS), DOR Chief Architect and Gartner to assure technologies are ready, defined and flexible at the correct time to bring value to the agency.
